Cowboy’s Bar & Restaurant in Huntley plans to host a bonfire-themed benefit on October 29, beginning at noon, to support the volunteer fire departments that serve the communities east of Billings.

Owner Lester Haynes said the bonfire will ignite at 6:00 pm, and he noted it will consist of all the driftwood that accumulated near Cowboy’s amid the historic flooding that ravaged Montana in June this year, and left his business surrounded by water. The benefit itself, he stated, is a way to show his appreciation for the firefighters and emergency medical personnel that kept the community safe as the flood events unfolded.
