Around 2,300 people from across the county attended the concert which kicked off Homesteader Days on July 8, 2022.

This concert was only the beginning of the fun. Homesteader Days features an annual pig wrestling contest, which was won by a team of four kids who called themselves the “406 Hillbilly’s.” To watch a video of the kids and their victory, go to www.yellowstonecountynews.com and click on “Features.”

Worden Fire Department (WFD) announced at their recent meeting that well over 50 pounds of candy was given out during the parade from their trucks.

In addition to celebrating the homesteaders who settled the land in this area, the event is also a fundraiser for the Huntley Project Lions Club. Club member Bethany Hein said there was a great crowd on both Friday and Saturday. Further, Hein said, “Thank you to all the people and organizations that make this possible. We couldn’t do it without them. We really appreciate you all.”
