History of Tiger Town:

The town of Ballantine is part of the Huntley Project Irrigation Project and located along Interstate 94 at exit 14.  Tiger Town is located in Ballantine about a 1/2 mile North of the Interstate 94 and the Railroad.  Ballantine was a stopping point for the railroad for shipping and loading product onto the trains that passed by.  It was also a location for transportation with the homesteaders from the Huntley Project area.  Today,  Tiger Town has evolved into a local town with residents and visitors with a convenience store, motel, car wash and Laundromat and more.
