by Michael J. Marino

“I didn’t think I would actually win,” said Huntley Project STEM teacher, Brandi Norman on Tuesday, after being surprised with news that she won a $60,000 computer and coding lab as part of a competition called Mission Possible – Operation Advance Technology, sponsored by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

This is the first set of Mission Possible awards the CIA has given out, and Norman was among four other educators in the United States selected to win. Jennifer Tyrell, of the Oak Ridge Institute for Science & Education (ORISE), who manages the Mission Possible program, traveled to Worden on April 25 to surprise Ms. Norman with the $60,000 grand prize check.
