Staff Report
The annual Huntley Christmas Stroll will be held Saturday, December 3 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. This year’s stroll features a variety of local businesses and organizations in addition to several fun contests and great food.
“We’re doing a map this year as a ballot and all participating business will be included on the map,” said Becky Tescher-Robison, the event’s coordinator. Upon visiting each location, they’ll get their map stamped and it will be entered into a drawing at Valley Baptist Church on Road 8. At each location, a snow globe will be hidden, and participants must find the globe to get a stamp. Snow globes will be given away at the drawing. As of press time, 36 gift baskets and snow globes will be included in the drawings.
Robison also noted that “haybales, donated by local farmers are posted throughout Huntley and will be decorated to promote the stroll.” A team of horses and other “people haulers” will be available throughout the day to transport people. If you have a people hauler or team and would like to help in this, Huntley businesses would welcome it. Included in the event is a cookie decorating contest and a Christmas Table place setting event. Guidelines are on the Huntley Christmas Stroll Facebook page or available at both R&R Trading and Yellowstone County News.
