The Worden Community Club is raising funds to replace the community’s welcome sign. They hope to replace the current sign with an electronic sign, for which the message board can be changed remotely.
The new sign will cost slightly more than $40,000, according to Linda Holmes, president of the club and Dan Krum, a member.
They have raised about half the funds needed, and on Thursday asked Yellowstone County Commissioners for a contribution. The commissioners agreed to donate $5000 from PILT funds.
