The following statement was released from HP School Superintendent Mark Wandle regarding Water issues from the Worden-Ballantine Yellowstone County Water and Sewer District.
Water Availability On Campus
There is a new alert by WBYC. We are taking these measures to provide safe water for our students, staff, and visitors.
It reads,
After visiting with the WBYC staff, RiverStone Health staff, and DEQ in Helena to gain information on any of the surface water concerns along with the nitrate issue from earlier in the summer the Huntley Project School District will have water dispensers delivered to the school today. They will be set up to help support water needs for the open house and the start of the school year.
This will result in safe and accessible water to all of our students, staff and visitors. We have also made arrangements to have bottled water available for all needs in the kitchen.
If students/visitors have water bottles that can be used that will be beneficial. We will find water bottles for our students/staff who do not have them. We will make more adjustments, as needed, as the WBYC releases statements, when we are made aware of them.
We are exploring permanent structural adjustments/improvements to make sure that we have potable water available everywhere on campus.
Please refer to https://www.wbyc.myruralwater.com for the latest Worden/Ballantine water district updates or information.
Respectfully,
Mark Wandle
Superintendent
