The Yellowstone County Sheriff’s Department confirmed this evening at 6:55pm that one person is dead following a shooting near the Huntley Project School in Worden. Yellowstone County Sheriff Mike Linder confirmed that deputies were called out to a situation near Ash Street across from the school and were able to confirm that it appears to be a self inflicted gun shot. Family members were being notified, according to Sheriff Mike Linder.
It was reported that when deputies arrived at the residents that they heard a gun shot. Deputies were eventually able to use a camera to look inside the residence through a window to confirm the self inflicted gunshot.
Nearby neighbors were notified and deputies secured the area until it was confirmed to be safe for the public due to the school being across the street.
