The Huntley Project Museum Curator Melissa Koch announced at the museum’s meeting that she will be moving on in her career and life where she has accepted employment in North Dakota in the coming months. She expressed her happy but sad news at the monthly board of directors meeting Tuesday night. She said that it was a pleasure to work with such a great board, coworkers, family and friends within the Huntley Project community and area.
Some of the many projects that that the museum took on while she was the curator were acquiring a grant to help move buildings on the Museum property to the new town site of an old town with restored shops, bank, church, doctors office, chicken coop, homestead house and other museum enhancements over the years. Koch is moving on after 3 years with the museum and says that she will return often as she will not be too far from home in her next employment in North Dakota.
The museum is currently looking for a new curator and applications are open to those applying at the museum’s website. www.huntleyprojectmuseum.org
The due date for applications is October 31, 2013 or until filled.
