Over the Christmas holiday season, the Huntley Project Wrestlers did something that shows extreme character and heart. For weeks, the team collected donations as part of the wrestler’s Adopt a Grandparent Project. As a group, they collaborated and decided to help members of their community. In this case, the wrestlers collected more than 200 donations, which were used to give a Christmas gift to a grandparent at a local nursing home. All of this took place on December 23rd, leaving just enough time to get everybody’s Christmas spirit up. After that, the team got together and distributed the presents.
As the team walked into the nursing homes, eyes were gleaming, cheers were roaring, and hearts were filled with joy. For some of these elders, this was the only Christmas gift that they received, and they were all truly grateful. Many thanks, laughs, and tears were shed throughout this giving time, and the memories that were made for these young men are something that will surely last a lifetime. I guess hard heads and strong minds aren’t they only thing that these lads possess.
